The New America and its Cram Down Policies

To assume this whole debate is new is stupid and ignorant to say the least. What Democrats do not want you to remember, because they think you are too stupid to remember, is that they were in control of Congress since 2006. What they do not want you to know is that people like Trent Lott actually testified that insurers have been screwing you for years because they are not subject to federal anti-trust laws which allow certain insurers to control 90%+ of some markets.
Now, are Republicans innocent? Hell no. A simple search on OpenSecrets.org will show you that BOTH sides of the aisle have been bought and paid for by the insurance lobby for years to do nothing. Now, MSNBC and the likes of Keith Olberman will not like you to know the former of this article and Bill O’Rielly will not want you to know the latter of this article, but those are the facts folks.
Now, we are getting a cram down of legislation that will certainly raise insurance rates on all of us if this bill passes because government is inept and incapable of doing anything right. Well, that’s not true, they do the bidding of those paying the bills and guess who pays the bills in Washington? Lobbyists. The biggest winners in this whole mess is the pharmaceutical industry, of course, which had a closed door deal with President Obama, who promised CSPAN negotiations on any Washington deals, so much for change.
Frankly, Democrats had an opportunity to change many of these issues that are wrong with health care back in 2006 and 2007 when we all knew there were issues and before there was a financial crisis, but they did not. Why? Simple, money. When you are being paid to do something you do it and that is what receiving campaign contributions is all about. Are we supposed to be dumb enough to believe that our Senators receive thousands in contributions from special interests and these groups expect nothing in return? Well, that’s what they tell us so it must be true. However, the do-gooders, Democrats, are now saving the world by cramming down legislation that Americans do not want because they know what is best for us, how nice.
They had 2 years of control of Congress to stop Bush from insane fiscal irresponsibility, they did nothing. They could have made small fixes in health care, they did nothing. They could have forced real change in Iraq and Afghanistan, they did nothing. They could have reformed Fannie and Freddie when they knew they were corrupt, but they took money from them instead and did nothing. We are expected to believe that the Democrats are less corrupt then the Republicans, but they are not. In fact their sheer financial ignorance is worse than the Republicans and that is one hell of a statement to make.
Oh, by the way, guess who pays for their idiotic, moronic mistakes over the long-term? You do. They sure as hell don’t because they get to write the tax code that they blatantly ignore, ask Rangel, Dashel and Tim Geithner about that. They cannot even figure out that if they knock down the state barriers that they can lower premiums for health insurance, all they need to do is issue national guidelines, it’s pretty freaking simple really, and a good start. However, the media will hear nothing of logic as they ignore the public and push the cram down Obama policies. Welcome to the New America where the government has all the say and your opinion means nothing.
